Vascular Diagnostic Educational Services offers dedicated hands-on courses on indirect physiological assessment for extremity arterial and venous studies and duplex scanning and color flow imaging of the cerebrovascular, peripheral arterial, venous, and abdominal vascular systems. The programs may be held at your facility, locally, or regionally and are tailored to
meet the needs of those new to the technology as well as the advanced student. Attendance is limited to assure one-on-one supervised practicums. Structured on prior courses held over the past 17 years, the programs feature didactic and supervised hands-on sessions and physician interpretation tutorials. Experience is offered for evaluation of normal patients, those with various degrees of pathology, and postoperative studies. Dependent on individual needs, participants will be taught correct application of indirect physiologic studies, ultrasound scanning techniques, evaluation of plaque morphology, and interpretation of Doppler velocity waveform patterns. Instructions on quality assurance (confirmation and correlation) will be provided. Physician attendees will receive instruction on preparation of the final interpretation of the noninvasive vascular examinations to maintain compliance with Medicare and laboratory accreditation guidelines.
