If you are wondering whether your laboratory could pass the accreditation process, or if you are opening a laboratory and want to be certain that you are adopting appropriate policies and procedures, VDES can be your guiding light. Our staff has been intimately involved in the accreditation process serving as policy developers and reviewers
for the Intersocietal Commission for Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL). A member of the VDES group will critique all aspects of your laboratory that are addressed by the ICAVL in the Essentials and Standards for Laboratory Accreditation. You will receive a written evaluation of your laboratory and staff and suggestions for implementing improvement in areas that do not meet the standards. Together with the medical and technical staff of the laboratory, a timeline and program for achieving accreditation will be developed.
